2024 Dragons Camp: Call for Coaches

Calling all levels of coaches - club or state level, aspiring or experienced.

We are excited to announce that preparations are underway for the Dragons Camp 2024, and we are reaching out to our community for coaches to help make this event a success. Your expertise and dedication will help inspire and develop our young athletes.

Coach Cost: $100 (incl GST): This covers accommodation and food for the entirety of the camp.

If you are interested, but you’re not available for the whole camp, please contact admin@softballsa.com.au

Dragons Coach - Minimum Requirements:

Working with Children Check: Volunteers - FREE
To be a coach, you will need a current WWCC – to be provided as soon as possible.

Community Coaching Essential Skills: FREE

Softball Australia Coach’s Code of Conduct: FREE

Softball Accreditation: Softball Batter-Up Coach Induction: $30

Evidence of all certificates and accreditation will need to be sent to admin@softballsa.com.au before coaching at Dragons Camp.

Further Coach Training: (Not mandatory for Dragons Camp)

If you have State coaching aspirations, it is highly recommended that you aim to complete all foundation coaching levels, and then seek Competency Assessment from our State Head of Coaching, Amanda Fairley. Please note, there are costs attached to the online components.

Softball Accreditation: Fundamental Skills: $45

Softball Accreditation: Training & Practice $45

Softball Accreditation: Managing Games $45

Child Safe Environments Training: $ varies
Although not compulsory, it is highly recommended for those wishing to work in educational or child-based activities.
