2023 Junior State Championships

Riverland Softball Association hosted this year’s Junior State Championships over the recent long weekend (March 11-13).

The facility at Berri, looked amazing and our hosts provided a welcoming and hospitable event.

Thanks to the Riverland executive committee and the volunteers for making the event happen, especially to President Tammy Dowdy, and Event Coordinator Michelle Bradtke.

A terrific assortment of teams from around the state made their way to compete in six different divisions with the following teams taking home the coveted title of State Champion:

U18 Girls: Hills
U18 Boys: NAMSA
U16 Girls: West Torrens
U14 Boys: Hills
U14 Girls: CDSA
U12 Mixed was a tie with both teams from: CDSA

Congratulations to all teams for participating and helping to support the region in a much-needed time (after the effects of COVID, fruit fly and floods), it really shows how much the softball community cares about our own. And once again, a heartfelt thanks to Riverland!
