Dear Softball Community,

We have some fantastic news to share. the Softball SA Board and staff have made a landmark decision that we believe will transform the Junior Championship experience for players, families, and associations across the state.

The Junior Championship is moving permanently to the October Long Weekend, kicking off this year right here in Adelaide from 3–5 October 2026, followed by Port Pirie in 2027 (2–4 October).

This is a decision we are incredibly proud of, and one made with the entire softball community in mind. We've attached a FAQ sheet that outlines exactly why we believe this change is a gamechanger for junior softball in South Australia, we encourage you to read it, share it, and get excited.

Your club or association will be in touch in the coming weeks with more detail on how to prepare and register with them for the championships.

We can't wait to see our young athletes take the field this October. The future of softball in South Australia is looking very bright!
